I'm starting a collection of easy snack recipes that I typically make throughout the week. I really try to maintain a healthy diet, but I have to admit, I love to snack. Trying to find a balance is always key, so I try to make snacks that are not only great tasting, but also are on the healthy side. Check out my collection below. You will need the following for this chickpea (garbanzo bean) snack:
To prepare for this recipe, start by pre-heating the oven to 375 degrees F. Take the can of garbanzo beans, drain and rinse with cold water. Pat dry. Place on a lined baking sheet and spray with a light cooking spray. Sprinkle the topping of your choice. Bake at 375 degrees F for approximately 30-40 minutes until it reaches a crispy consistency that you prefer. Put aside and cool.
This is a basic snack that is packed with health benefits, not to mention protein from the peanut butter. Adding the peanut butter really makes it hearty as well. This is also a kid friendly snack!
You will need the following for this Apples with Peanut Butter & Chia Seeds snack:
To prepare, wash and slice the apples. Place in a plate. Add peanut butter and sprinkle chia seeds.
