English Trifle Recipe

If you are unfamiliar with English Trifles, then try this English Trifle recipe! It is a type of dessert, originally from England. The dessert is usually arranged in layers in a clear bowl and it may or may not contain alcohol. This recipe was submitted by one of mealplan4me's fans. Enjoy!!

*In a round dish cover the entire bottom layer with lady fingers (sponge cake like).

*Then cut and place a decent layer of your favorite fruit or fruits on top of the lady fingers.

* Mix and pour a complimentary flavor jello on top (this will soften the lady fingers).

*Place in fridge to cool for an hour.

*Serve with cool whip, ice cream or as is for a yummy and fairly healthy dessert option.
