Baked Salmon

For a quick and easy weeknight meal, try this baked salmon recipe. It has minimal ingredients and can be prepared and cooked in under 30 minutes. This is a versatile dish that can be served for brunch, lunch or dinner, along with some pasta, rice or a salad. This recipe calls for Salmon fillets, about 6 oz each. You can easily find them in most grocery stores already filleted; 6 oz seems to be the standard size. 

You will need the following for this dish: 

  • 2 Salmon Fillets about 6 oz. each
  • Salt to taste
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil- Just enough to brush on top of the Salmon
  • Salt, Pepper and Dry Thyme. 

Experiment! Try using different spices & herbs such as Rosemary, Red Pepper Flakes, Dill or add a Raspberry Chipotle Sauce!

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F. Place the salmon fillets on a baking pan. Lightly brush each side with extra virgin olive oil, then salt both sides and add your choice of spices and herbs. Bake until done, approximately 20-25 minutes, being careful to not overcook. 

To Serve: It goes perfect along side a salad or some rice!
