Chickpea Rice Recipe

This chickpea rice recipe is a variation of a Turkish rice recipe using garbanzo beans. If you are looking for ways to add more protein into your diet without eating meat, then try this recipe.
Ingredients
*1 C. Rice
*3 T. Butter
*14.5 oz. Can Garbanzo Beans or Chickpea
*1 1/2 C. Water
*Salt to Taste; Pepper is optional
Preparation
*In a saucepan, melt the butter. *Add the rice, toast it for about 1-2 minutes. *Add the garbanzo beans. *Add water. *Cook for about 20 minutes.
