Grilled Chicken Breast

Try this basic grilled chicken breast recipe! If you are a beginner cook, this is a great recipe to start with, especially if you are new to grilling. The chicken breasts do not need to be marinated ahead of time, so this is a no fuss recipe perfect for busy weeknights. For this recipe, I used chicken breast with a bone. You can purchase them with out the bone, but make sure to reduce the grill time as it will dry out the meat. I found that by grilling chicken breast with the bone i.e. ribs, it adds a lot of flavor and makes the meat much juicier!

You will need the following for this dish:

  • 4 Chicken Breasts with the bone
  • Steak Seasoning
  • Olive Oil
  • Salt to taste

Don't have steak seasoning? Use whatever you have on hand! Salt, Pepper, Paprika, etc!

To prepare this dish, start by pre-heating the grill. Lightly brush the chicken breasts with extra virgin olive oil and season with steak seasoning. Once the grill is hot, place chicken on top and cook until done. If you opt to use the chicken breast with the ribs attached, most of those are very thick and the cook time can take up to 40-45 minutes on low. If you buy chicken breasts without the ribs, cook time should be 7-10 minutes, depending on thickness.

Serve with side of vegetables, rice or a healthy salad!
