 I LOVE to juice! Juicing is the best. I don't care if its vegetables, fruit or the combination of both, there is nothing more pure and healthy than the fresh drink of the fruit or vegetable on the spot! Even when you buy those health drinks in the health food stores, they still have preservatives in them to keep them "fresh" for so long. If you want to eliminate all preservatives, you should consider making your own drinks using organic veggies and fruit!

Not only does juicing at home eliminate preservatives, it is also much more affordable! You can stock up on your favorite fresh fruits and veggies from your local grocery store or farmer's market, and make them daily instead of purchasing an overpriced 8 oz health drink from the grocery store. 

What's also great about making it at home is you can pick and choose which type of vegetable or fruit drinks you want! You can have a new flavor every day! If you want more of a variety, you can mix a few veggies and fruits together and create your own! Once you get going, it is not only fun, it tastes SO GOOD! 


If you already don't own one, there are a lot of options out there. Some can be extremely expensive, but others are much more affordable. I purchased a Jack Lalanne juicer many years ago and it still works great. I have had no problems with it at all. I have also heard that the Omega juicers are just as good and the best part, they are also very affordable. Just go with what your budget is. Either way, its well worth the purchase and you'll get your money's worth. There is no price for good health!

Carrot & Ginger



This Carrot & Ginger is one of my favorites! I drink a lot of carrot juice in general. I either drink it as-is, or use the carrots as a base ingredient. Just put the ingredients in your juicer and you'll instantly have a glass of fresh, non-preservative juice!





RECIPE:

  • 5 Large Carrots for about 8 oz. 
  • Fresh Ginger (about an inch)




Banana & Peanut Butter Smoothie



This is my Banana & Peanut Butter Smoothie mixed with one of my favorite ingredients... Amazing Grass, Green Superfood Original Flavor!  This powder is what gives it its green color. This is such a filling smoothie, that I ended up just having this for lunch! 


RECIPE:

  • 1 Small Banana
  • 1 Spoonful of Amazing Grass, Green Superfood Powder
  • 1 T. All Natural Peanut Butter
  • 1 C. Milk


Strawberry & Flax Seed Smoothie



This is a yummy Strawberry Flax Seed Smoothie! I just love strawberries! By adding the ground flax seeds, it really toned down the sweetness normally you would have if it was just strawberries. It has just the right amount of sweetness. If you do not like flax seeds, you can omit it all together from this recipe or substitute some chia seeds instead.




Recipe:

  • 10 Medium to Large Strawberries
  • 2 T Ground Flax Seeds
  • 1 1/2 Cups of Milk


Amazing Grass Green Superfood


I just LOVE this stuff. Just like it's name, this product is amazing! I have been using it since last year and have noticed a significant improvement in my overall health!

Drink it: "Straight Up" i.e. one scoop powder mixed with 8 oz of water. This is my favorite way to drink it. It has a strong "grassy" taste, but since I love wheatgrass, it never bothered me. The company makes flavored powders to tone down the taste. Lemon-Lime flavor is great!

Mix it: Put the powder in shakes, smoothies or even in your oatmeal and even in muffins!

I travel frequently for work and make sure I take it with me. For those of you that travel, you know how difficult it is to eat healthy, especially if you are flying and can't bring a lot of healthy snacks with you. I no longer worry about missing out on consuming veggies while on the road as long as I have one glass each morning.

I'm sure this product will effect everyone differently. All I know is that it has benefited me. I see improvements with my hair, skin & nails, along with an increase in energy level and improved digestion.

Banana & Papaya Smoothie w/Chia Seeds



Just love this Banana & Papaya Smoothie w/Chia Seeds! It has a very creamy texture and a very light taste. It was a perfect breakfast smoothie!






Recipe:

  • 1 Small Banana
  • Papaya (about a cup)
  • 1/2 Cup Milk
  • Ice (about a handful)
  • Chia Seeds (as much as you like)


Fruit Yogurt Smoothie



This Fruit Yogurt Smoothie is perfect on a hot day! The berries are so refreshing! The combination of the berries, yogurt and papaya worked great!






Recipe:

  • 5 Strawberries
  • 1/4 C. Blueberries
  • 1/4 C. Papaya
  • 1/4 C. Plain Yogurt
  • Ice (about a handful)
