lemon butter shrimp

This is a must try lemon butter shrimp recipe!  With very little ingredients, you can create a tasty and elegant dish! This is one of the most easiest seafood recipes I put together and tend to use the base ingredients on other types of seafood as well. I just love combination of the lemon, garlic and butter flavors!

  • 1 lb. Shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 T. Butter or Margarine
  • 1 Garlic clove, minced.
  • 1-2 T. Lemon Juice
  • Chopped parsley-less than a handful
  • Salt to taste

Serve as an appetizer or pair it up with rice or pasta!

To prepare this dish, start by washing, peeling and deveining the shrimp and pat dry with a towel. Then, salt both sides of the shrimp and put aside. Chop up the parsley.  In a saucepan, melt the butter and add the garlic and lemon juice. Cook for a couple of minutes, then add the shrimp and cook about 3 minutes a side, depending on it's size. You will know they are cooked when they turn a pinkish color. Make sure you do not overcook them or they will have a rubbery texture.
