If you want to learn an easy, yet delicious Turkish dish, then this recipe is for you! It is an easy dish since there are not many ingredients and the cook time is just under 30 minutes. It is a heart warming meal, one that you can eat as a stew or serve on top of rice.
Ingredients
*1 lb of Fresh Green Beans or 2-15oz. Cans of Green Beans
*1 Small Onion, Diced
*2 T. Butter
*1 lb. Ground Beef
*3 T. Tomato Paste
*Water
*Salt and Pepper to Taste
Preparation
*In a large saucepan, add the butter.
*Once the butter melts, add the onions. Cook until translucent.
*Add the ground beef, cook until browned.
*Add the tomato paste, mix with ground beef.
*Salt and Pepper to Taste.
*Add the green beans, add a bit more salt.
*Add enough water to cover the ground beans. Make sure you monitor the water level during cooking as it should be like a stew. You may need to add water.
*Mix the green beans with the ground beef.
*Cover, and cook for about 25 minutes on medium low or until green beans are soft.
